Atlas promise to pay

Every promise to pay, captured and held to its date.

A promise made on a call or in a reply is only worth something if someone holds the customer to it. Atlas records it the moment it is made, confirms it in writing, pauses everything else until the date, and acts the same morning if the payment does not arrive.

Illustrative data

From promise to paid

One agent owns the account from the promise to the payment.

When a customer promises, the account moves into the Promise to pay agent. Every other channel pauses until the promised date, so the customer hears one consistent voice.

  1. 01

    Capture

A promise on a call, a text or an email reply is recorded with its amount, date and payment method.

  2. 02

    Confirm

Atlas confirms the promise in writing: the amount, the date and how to pay, with a payment link.

  3. 03

    Remind

A short reminder goes the day before, with the link.

  4. 04

    Act on a miss

A missed date, a declined card or a returned ACH payment gets a retry link the same morning, then a call to reset the date.

Payment plans

Payment plans agreed inside your terms, not around them.

Atlas works as payment plan software inside your receivables, not beside them. A plan is a set of promises that share one plan id, so every installment is tracked against the same agreement.

01

Your limits

Agents offer plans only within the terms you authorize: number of installments, spacing and minimum amounts.

02

Reviewed when large

Plans over $25,000 wait for an Approver by default. You set the threshold.

03

Each installment tracked

A missed installment brings the account back into Promise to pay with the plan attached.

Before and with Atlas

A promise to pay stops being a note in a spreadsheet.

What runs without anyone

Atlas does the work. You decide what waits.

Promise to pay runs on its own by default. You flag any step for review.

Atlas runs on its own. You flag any step for review, and flagged work waits in the Approval Queue for an Approver, Admin or Owner. Charge-off and legal waits for a person on every step.

On its own

  • Records promises from calls, texts and replies
  • Confirms amount, date and method in writing
  • Sends the day-before reminder and the same-morning retry link
  • Calls to reset a missed date
  • Returns the account to Collections after a second broken promise

Waits for a person

  • Payment plans over $25,000, by default
  • A second broken promise, if you route it to a person
  • Any step you flag for review

FAQ

Promise to pay, run end to end.

How does Atlas capture a promise to pay?

Atlas reads replies and listens on calls for a commitment, then records the amount, the date and the payment method on the account. The account moves into the Promise to pay agent and the customer gets a written confirmation with a payment link.

What happens if the customer misses the promised date?

Atlas acts the same morning: a text with a retry link, then a call to set a new date within a week. If the customer misses a second time, the account returns to the Collections agent with the history attached.

Does Atlas keep sending other reminders while a promise is open?

No. A promise pauses every other channel until the promised date, so the customer is not chased for a payment they have already committed to. Follow-up resumes only if the date passes unpaid.

Can Atlas set up payment plans?

Yes, within the terms you authorize. A plan is a series of promises sharing one plan id, each installment tracked on its own. Plans over $25,000 wait for an Approver by default, and you can change that threshold.

What if a card declines or an ACH payment is returned?

A declined card or a returned ACH payment moves the account into Promise to pay. Atlas sends a retry link the same morning and follows up until the payment clears or a new date is agreed.

See promise to pay work on your own receivables.

Thirty minutes on your own aging report. You leave with a view of how Atlas would work it, and an honest answer if the sequencing is wrong and you should fix something else first.

Your credit policy, terms, tone and escalation rules are your advantage, and they stay yours. Atlas is configured to the way you run receivables. You are not handing over a playbook or fitting into a template.
